Guest guest Posted February 11, 2002 Report Share Posted February 11, 2002 on another note- our sita devi also was put to 'agni-pariksha' -where she jumped into 'agni' kund to prove her chastity- she came out of the fire totally unharmed as she was 'pure' and 'innocent' ! similarly, sati jumped into the fire but her body did not 'burn' but she left her body wiilingly because she wanted to reincarnate as parvati! there is another story cnnected with why sati incarnated as daksha's daughter! more on this later! have a great monday!
