Guest guest
Namaste These are intriguing questions, they beg a reply--- 1) What is the purpose of Sodasi Pooja? A/ To think of Sodasi Pooja in terms of purpose is to miss the whole understanding of it, only ego needs a purpose. When that which loves to be admired and recognised in its fullest aspect, The Shakti,is in harmony with that which loves to admire, The Shiva, this pooja takes place in each and every moment between them. The admirer and the admired are two sides of the same coin, the one creates the other and visa versa. The two arise out of the One and on becoming two they naturally compliment each other. When the one wishes to be adored the other cannot refuse it becomes the others desire to the same degree. To do this puja with intention of achieving something, which is what it would consist of ifit was done with a purpose in mind, would reinforce the ego. This puja can only truly be said to take place from the Divine to the divine, between one who knows herself to be the embodiment of Truth in the human female form, The Shakti Ma, and one who knows this also in in the male human form. At this level (which is not a level) of realisation this puja happens without reason or purpose, it is the natural expression of the male and female aspect of the universe, just this energy passing through those forms. 2) Is it being done only between husband and wife? A/Where ever there is a deep understanding of One's Self as Love, The One, this can take place. It does not have to be in a heterosexual relationship or in marriage. When one rests in this understanding of who One is it can take place between the window cleaner and the girl at the checkout tile, it does not have to take place as an outward show. Only the two bodies through which it is taking place need know that it is happening. It can take place between more than two bodies at a time, in fact at the deepest level ( ? ) it is taking place between All the bodies All of the time. It is interesting that you use the words "Is it being done" in your question as this means that on the deepest level (which is'nt) you know that "YOU" cannot do it, you are quite correct in saying "being done", no egoic involvement. I feel that you intuitively know more about this than you give yourself credit for. Deepest Love Avasa.
