Guest guest
16/2/02. Until one is uncluttered and clear of the mind one's psyche is made up of a conscious part and an unconscious part. In the male the unconscious is his female side, it is a mystery to him and it is this mystery that he sees reflected in the opposite sex that attracts him to the female of his species as well as the attractions imposed by the body. Likewise, in a woman the unconscious part of her mind is male and the mystery applies here also. In order to come to awakening we must endeavour to delve deep into the workings of the unconscious and bring them to the surface as conscious understanding. When all of the unconscious has been thus brought into conscious understanding the mystery is no longer, one sees and understands the way of things because the clarity of such a mind has immediately both the question and the answer present in the moment. There are two ways to bring this about. One either follows the Bhakti path and uses their female side, intuition, to draw the mysteries to the surface or one follows the male side, intellect, to bring about the same result. A combination of both of these is in play whichever one follows. There is no choice in which one of these takes the leading role as it is already in the makeup of the person involved. As the intellect, however, advances in this drawing up of the unconscious to the conscious level it must at the same time draw the female side, the intuition, up to the same level otherwise an imbalance occurs, or visa versa. This is why sometimes one finds ones- self in the company of someone who says all the right things but they do not FEEL (intuition) quite right, somehow the logic SOUNDS correct but one intuits that something is missing. There have been a number of people who have reached amazing depths of understanding within themselves but have been unable to have any real affect on those they have shared it with because their intuition did not come into play. Unless the understanding is accompanied by an equally deep feeling the message that is being shared somehow just does not quite hit the mark, it has no taste. The same can be said for someone who has a deep love but no intellect with which to share their realisation. On the other hand where both the intuition and the intellect are present in ones realisation to the same degree, or closely follow one another, the message is very easily received both intellectually AND intuitively, it is received at the Heart! It is said that when Ramakrishna and his wife were both together in satsang the feeling that accompanied the clarity of understanding was tremendous, for here we have a male who has fully embraced his female side and a female who has likewise embraced her unconscious fully into conscious awareness. This is a rare combination for two Wholes to meet in this way and come together as One Whole appearing as two. Two forms but only one Being. Deep within the majority of us is this desire to meet and dissolve into the other. The risks of such a Love for another being are high as anyone will know who has been let down by a partner who suddenly held a part of themselves back and has had to experience the pain of the others contraction. If at that point the partner leaves it is by far best to continue to love the other, even if one feels betrayed, as this holding open of the wounded Heart and allowing the pain to release itself stabilises the level of that love that one experienced with the partner and its radiance will attract someone else who will respond at that same level and pick up, as it were, where the partner left off. Having a partner is not of course a necessity as it is but one the ways of realising ones Self, the desire for Truth is all that is needed to realise who one is, Love needs no object, but its more fun having one! Guest guest
Namaste and thank you for this insightful post. This particular post is an answer to an inner question I have been asking for a while. I feel it is directly from the Goddess. It has touched me so that I wish to have permission to repost it on another site (I'll leave your name off if you wish.
