Blessed Ganga.

Blessed are the nutritious waters

Of Ganga.

They flow like nectar

>From heaven to earth.

The rain answers the prayers

Of the thirsting earth.

In deep gratefullness

She quenches the dry soils.

Gratefully they drink their fill.

The streams laugh and dance

Their merry way down the mountainsides,

Flowing gently in deep languid pools

And roaring in the tumultuous power

Of her waterfalls.

Here and there disappearing

Beneath the surface to flow

In subteranean caverns of magica,

Then rising again into the light of the day,

To pass through,cleansing, the bodies

Of those who bath and drink

Her ever fresh waters of Life.

Every drop and trickle

Intermingling and joining forces

On the journey to the mighty Ocean,

Where all dissolve into

The One,

The bliss of Ganga's essence,

To rest until,

In devotion to her wishes,

All arise with the warm breezes

Of her sweet Motherly breath

Upward into the clouds to drift

On the prayers of the earth and her green children,

To fall yet again, spent, into the eternal dance of Ganga.

in the holy river ganges -- wow, there is something so divine about

taking dips in river ganga!
