Guest guest
Devi Bhakto aur Devi Putro, Jai Mata Di, Maa Varahi (Bhagwati, Durga) Temple in Devidhura is famous for bagwaal fair. In Bagwaal two groups of dancing and singing people throw stones at each other, while they try to protect themselves with the help of large wooden shields. The fighting stops soon after the priest appears when he is convinced that the blood-shed during the game is equivalent to the blood in a single human body and both sides meet and reconcile, all stones start disappearing from the field and starts rain atleast for 2-3 min. Previously there used to be annual human sacrifice by the local villagers, who formally resolved to fulfil the divine wish by offering the head of one member from each family annually. However, in some late period, an old woman, who had only one grandson left as the family's breadwinner, made fervent appeals to Maa Varahi to provide an alternative. Maa Varahi appeared to tell the old woman and the villagers to thenceforth observe this ritual of hitting each other with stones and shed enough blood that would make up for the sacrifice of one human being but must be done with clear heart and without any kind of prejudice. Cave :- Entrance of the cave is looks smaller for human to go in but never had any problem with any person. Even buffalo (male) before bali are taken through this cave. Looking at the gate of cave one can hardly believe that buffalo can go through it. Some oil (don't remember the name for that oil) keeps coming from big stone of cave (out side) which we use in our forehead. This is not all there is lot more to say about Maa and her Place. Lot of people blessed by Maa Varahi. She helps when ever her bhakta/putra(son) call her. http://www.kmvn.com/champavat.htm ( A repost article ) By Dineshbhatt
Guest guest
Above I had posted my dream and this fits in the sense of mudslinging I guess because lately I have been very guilty of slinging much mud at Maharishi Mahesh Yogi at his various websites, including writing their Global Country and lombasting them for their rampant materialism. My fear really is that Mahesh is doing more harm than good now, but nevermind. I like to keep this sacred area separate from those bad vibes. However, in my dream there was some symbolism to suggest that the boarish person might be Mahesh and some of us were saying he looked more like Varaha every day. I won't go into the habit of hogs. I would wish that this might not be the jist of this dream and that there was a more spiritual insight. But either way there are lots of correspondences here with the rock throwing. However, again, in my dream I was thinking Varaha, not exactly Varahi. Perhaps some mix up? Ah, I just don't know. , "nora55_1999" <nora55_1999> wrote: > Devi Bhakto aur Devi Putro, Jai Mata Di, > > Maa Varahi (Bhagwati, Durga) Temple in Devidhura is famous for bagwaal > fair.
