Guest guest
This is from Ashley-Ferrand's Healing Mantras book. He say's it's called Mahavidya mantra but that mantra is for Kali if I am correct. This one is for Saraswati - it goes: Eim hrim srim klim sauh klim hrim eim blum strim nilatari saraswati dram drim klim blum sah eim hrim srim klim sauh sauh hrim swaha Long mantra which he doesnt give any meaning to. I like it alot and just want to know exactly what it is before I commit byself to saying it 125,000 times or so

Guest guest
greetings kochu-sankara and also a very happy and prosperous vishu to you and yours! may all your dreams come true! (including that sierra leone trip! smiles) i am no means a mantrik, tantrik or yantrik . i have been reciting the devi mahatmiyam for the last two days... based on that.... AIM (eim) -for the energy of Saraswati ruling artistic scientific endeavors and governing personal development and spiritual growth. this is saraswati bija mantra. Eim (aim) is a seed sound for the feminine principle known as Saraswati. This principle governs spiritual knowledge as well as the material pursuits of education, science, art, music, and spiritual discipline. ********************************************************************** "HREEM" -to banish the illusion of everyday earthly reality. It is the threefold flame of clarity. this is bhuveneshweri mantra. it is also called 'maya' bija. Hreem is a seed sound for "mahamaya" or the veil of creation. It is said that meditation on this seed sound will result in the mediators ultimately being shown the universe "as it is" and not as we see it currently. ********************************************************************** "KLEEM"-the seed mantra of attraction and love.this is the kamabija mantra. also, refers to lord krishna. Kleem is a seed with several meanings. In the present context, it is the principle of attraction. In this mantra, it is attracting the fruit of the other principles to speed the process of mantra meditation. ********************************************************************** "Shreem" is the seed mantra of Lakshmi to bring abundance and good fortune. . .. Shreem is the seed sound for the principle of abundance. This covers the abundance of food, friends, family, health and a myriad other things. Prosperity is, of course, included. ********************************************************************** Sauh is a couple of things. It is a spiritual principle which operates through one of the petals in the Ajna chakra. It is also a shakti activating sound. ********************************************************************** this is all i could find on the web using the 'google' search... harsha or any other devotee well versed in mantra shastra can elaborate on the rest of the mantra... in my limited understanding, this mantra as shankara has pointed out, is to invoke the blessing of goddess saraswati as 'nila saraswati' - we are asking goddess saraswati to bestow on us both material, spiritual and intellectual wealth. om shree durgayaii namaha!!!!
