COuple of things we need to know when we talk about the tantras. Tte

tantricks can be now chiefly divided into the the following 5 paths.

1. the once who follow ganapatya tantra

2. the ones who follow vaishnava tantra

3. the ones who follow shaiva tantra

4. the ones who follow surya tantra

5. the ones who follow shakti tantra

each one of them have their practices associated with, at a

particular stage of sadhana to slowly liquidate the strong

identification of the sadhaka with the body. The attention is called

to not be attached to the body that one possesses from birth.

Obviously this is not easy. Many have tried in the past and many have

failed. It has to follow a tried method. In this case of the

Vaishnava cult, who may follow the tantras for practical guidelines,

this is achieved in the way that has been discribed. The moment this

identification with the gross body is practiced with zeal and

dedication, then comes the identification with the subtle body. THen

other methods are put in place for that. And hence slowly the sadhaka

is lead towards the identification with the eternal spirit.

THe shaivaits also have such a practice, but the practice is firstly

geographical - in the mountains and the hills where one is to live.

So do the Shakti sadhakas have thier own technic.

Please feel free to ask any other question is you please.
