This is a great list which I plan on keeping. I saved it to hd. I

used to just think I was a TMer but since joining your group here I

have realized that even through my bija mantra from TM I was still

worshipping devi. So your groups has very much enlightened me and I

want to thank you all verymuch.

Amazon "Listmania" for Shakti Sadhana!

Hi Everyone:Well, for what it's worth, I'm trying my hand

at"cross-marketing" our Group to the non- world, via the online

bookseller Amazon.com.Amazon has a function where you can list up to

25"recommended" books on a subject of your choice. Then, when a

shopper searches for the subject of (or one ofthe books on) your

list, they also get a link to yourlist. The idea is, the shopper and

the list-makermight be like-minded souls, the list-maker

mightinterest the shopper in a few additional volumes onthe subject,

and Amazon might sell a few more books. So: Here is a link to my

"Shakti Sadhana" list. Feelfree to recommend changes or write your

own list offavorites. I changed my Amazon handle to "DeviBhakta", (as

it is here) and on my "About Me" page, Iadded info about our Group

(and a pic of MaatangiDevi). Since a lot of you have asked about

Shaktareading recommendations, you might find somethinghelpful here

as

well:http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/cm/member-fil/-/AS3GWOV0IEVU0/102-9591962-2783344NOTE!

Although I changed my Amazon handle to "Devibhakta" a few days ago,

the list is still coming up(on my computer, at least) with my old

Amazon handle,"Leopold Bloom." As some of you will undoubtedly

know,Bloom is the main protagonist of James Joyce'smodernist

masterpiece, "Ulysses" -- Joyce being an oldpassion of mine. But rest

assured, Bloom is me -- andin a day or so, he should disappear and be

replaced by"Devi bhakta."Happy reading!Aum Maatangyai

Thanks for the good review, EDj! As I tried to convey

in my post to Adi, it's not exhaustive by far, (a)

being limited to 25 titles, and (b) make that 25

titles that Amazon does or did stock -- which rules

out a lot of non-U.S. publications. Of course, many of

the best books on Devi come out of India.

Anyway, thanks -- and please don't waste much time in

starting that "Shakta recipes" database! I had no idea

we had that kind of culinary talent in the house!

Mmmmm!
