Guest guest
babaji, this is so disheartening! i just returned after witnessing asuperb dance performance by talented young artists in our community - all these dancers performed non-stop from 2 pm to 8pm to raise funds for constructing the 'raja gopuram' of the sree shiva vishnu temple! in fact , one of the dancers performed a kuchipudi dance item called 'simha-nandini' which portrayed mother durga as 'katyayani'! i felt like mother durga herself was dancing before my eyes slaying all the demonic tendncies of lust, anger, pride, false ego, greed, arrogance, desires etc.... at the end of the dance, the danseuse drew with her 2 feet a giant figure of maa durga's vahana (vehicle) SIMHA (the great lion) on rice flour which was sprinkled on the dance floor for just this purpose ! this was a fantastic feat .... can u imagine drawing a figure of a lion on the rice flour just by using your feet and dancing your way through it!!! such is devi's maya! the point is on the one hand we have people working hard to build something and on the other hand we have people working hard to destroy something! what else can you call this except god's leela or maya!!! but really speaking can anyone chop off god's head or hands? god is beyond all these.... jesus was crucified and he rose on the third day! so, new idols will replace the ones that were mutiliated but who is going to save these 'evil doers' (sorry did not mean to sound like BUSH NOW) from the seeeds of their oown destruction that they have panted in their own wily hearts? love and peace!!!!
