"human body is looked upon as Shri Chakra (disc of bountiful

Superhuman power) in which the microcosmic angles of the Energy

(Shakti) have been detailed as tvak (Skin), asrah (blood), mamsam

(flesh), Meda (lymph) and asthi (bones). The macrocosmic angles have

also been defined as the five elements, five tanmatras (subtle

elements ) belonging to Shabda (sound), sparsha (touch), rupa

(colour), rasa (flavour), and gandha (smell), five senses, of

perception, five senses of actionand five pranas. This aspect of

SHakti (Energy) has been fully brought out not only by Panchdstavi but

also by another compilation of panegyrics named Saundarya Lahri (the

wave of Beautitude) even. Again the five karnas @ur (generative

causes) in Shaiva philosophy are Brahma (the progenitor), Vishnu (the

nourisher), Rudra (the annihilator),. Sada-Shiva, (perennial &

immanent conscious spirit) and Ishvara (the supreme Lord). "

dear harsha, thanks! now, remember who introduced me to shree vidya

upasana? have you forgotton? it was you who advised me to recite the

1000 names of sree lalia tripura sundari and told me also that it will

awaken the 'kundalini' shakti if chanted dilligently over a period of

time in a bhava of 'prema' and 'bhakti'! well, i took your word

seriously and since then every evening that is what i do WITH the help

of M.S. SUBBALAXMI'S CD ! believe it or not, so many miracles are

taking place! on another note, harsha i want to share with you

something my gurudeva told me ! he said as per mant tantric texts that

the ' terrifying divine mother Kali and the playful goddess Lalita

are two sides of the same shakti!"

Lalita, with her waxing moon, represents creation, and Kalika with her

waning moon dissolution. Each is a complete symbol, of high sublimity

and loaded with spiritual significance. so in bengal, orissa and

assam, mother kalika is the supreme goddess while sree lalita

tripurasundari reigns supreme in the regions of karnataka, chennai and

othef south indian states.

this year i had the fortune of meeting ***TWO DIVINE MOTHERS**** ! I

MET SREE 'AMMACHI' ALSO CALLED MAA AMRITANADAMAYI ! when i had darshan

of 'ammachi' i felt i was face to face with sree lalita- rather, in

her role as adi parashakti!

when i met "sree maa "of devi mandir - i could feel the divine

presence of durga and chandi ! both mothers have blessed me with

'pure knowledge' ! so, let us worship the divine mother goddess in

all her forms! to each his own isthadevata!!!!!

i am now reading the english version of 'tripura rahasaya' which is as

fascinating as markendeya purana!

You are completely right dear ma ! But i was only supporting the

validity of your post which said all goddess are but vibhootis of

lalitha....or say mahakali....either way should be correct.....but

association of Adi shankara with worship of tripura gives great

importance to it...also look at how well srichakra worship is

organized.....there is surely not as much metaphysical content

explicitly included in any other vidya as srividya...there is no doubt

about it...Also this is the only vidya which is shiva

shaktyaaatmaka....all other tantras are rejected by adi

shankara(actually shiva) as atisandhaaya bhuvanam...punaste

tantra....etc...in saundaryalahari....hence this isa great path to

ambal....Iam also a upasaka mainly of guhya kali and ugra tara....and

my favourite upasya is chinaamba too...but whatever...imporatance of

srividya is beyond

doubt....Jnana-bhakthi-vedanta-karma-tantra-mantra-darshana are not so

beautifully and practically and completely merged n any other system

of tantra as srividya...

Namo guhya kaalyai!!!!
