Guest guest
in my limited life , i have seen and experienced "goddess" residing not only in women but in men as well. to me " goddess' goes beyond HE or she - GODDESS IS CONSCIOUSNESS ITSELF ! so, we have many men in our midst who have feminine qualities of compassion, mercy , forgiveness, kindness etc and then we have women who are very aggressive. (warrior like maybe spiritual warriors- smiles) , competitive , 'wearing the pants' type ! as our beloved carl jung would say the best person is one who has both these qualities of 'anima' and 'animus' - That is the beauty of Goddess Kali- SHE IS AGGRESSIVE WHEN THE SITUATION DEMANDS IT and she is compassionate at when the situation warrants it.... so this is not a man versus woman issue... or evven a gender issue... this is about understanding --- some of the men i know are more 'goddess' like than the women i know. shiva is known for his 'kindness' that is why it is so easy to please shiva - whereas 'shakti' is more demanding! harder to please!!!! so the unity starts with our uniting the lower self with the higher self as avasa points out time and again... but, i can relate to devi bhakta's post because this is the 'real' world which is made of shaktas and non-shaktas and all else in between.... my 2 cents...
