Guest guest
I opened my personal Shiva shrine this morning, blissfully exhausted after observing MahaShivaRatri yesterday, to find several very tiny silk cocoons, and some tiny dead catepillars(?), scattered around the framed picture of Mahadev. For the life of me, I do not know how they got there. I always keep the place (it is a closed cabinet) very tidy, and these bugs weren't around yesterday while I was offering incense. Removing them really gave me the chills. For the record, I could not make it to a Shiva temple yesterday, and instead went to a Krishna temple where I paid my obesiance. My hair is still standing on end, my skin is crawling, and I am feeling some unease. Aum Namah Sivaya JP

Guest guest
Namaste JP I am inclined to agree with Eve here, drop all your superstious nonsense and SEE what such an occurance really indicates. THe cocoon must break open in order for that which is within to fly sometimes the cocoon dies before this takes place. The death here indicates something dying within yourself so let us hope that it is your ego. As the other reply which has already been given points out all these "bugs" are the Divine also, an outer reflection of your inner reality. Your hair standing on end and your skin crawling indicates that the Shakti has been activated in you by this occurance. If this was me I would give thanks and gather up these wonderful messengers of Truth that you call "bugs" hold them in your hands and sit quietly until the feeling that the are trying to impart to you arises fully within your Being. I think that your opinion of these bugs will be very different afterwards! Guest guest
Someone once said there is no spell but the spell of ignorance. That would also go for omens. If you were Aghor you would delight in just this sort of thing. Shiva likes all worship and he is not a jealous god like a Jehovah. Get over yourself and your small superstitions, they have no place in reality. You are seeing the rope as a snake my friend. - drsyasvapadarsanam Wednesday, March 13, 2002 12:01 AM This is not a bad omen, is it? Guest guest
Nameste JP A warm welcome to Shakti Sadhana. To some people seeing a black cat cross by can be a bad omen, whilst to others it brings good luck. So in my opinion, it depends on how you see it. I see it as this: all creature ( big or small) are Mother's children. Perhaps the caterpillars too are paying homage to Sivan in their own way. Guest guest
Dear friends, Regarding the 'cocoon" and insect things strangely appearing., Two nights ago I had a similar experience. At 11 o'clock in the evening, a baby scorpion strangely appear in my room. I was so shoked because of the thought that of all insects why a scorpion and why in my room? How did it get there?. My room is the cleanest part in the house and I never saw a scorpion outside the house, in the kitchen or in other rooms. And it was my first time to see a real scorpion so I checked if its a scorpion I saw, and it is. I don't know if the appearance of a mere little scorpion sounds strange to you but it was to me because I thought it was some kind of omen or something.I barely slept that night thinking. alessa --- bodhiavasa <Bodhiavasa wrote: > Namaste JP > I am inclined to agree with Eve here, drop all your superstious > nonsense and SEE what such an occurance really indicates. > THe cocoon must break open in order for that which is within to fly > sometimes the cocoon dies before this takes place. > The death here indicates something dying within yourself so let us > hope that it is your ego. > As the other reply which has already been given points out all > these "bugs" are the Divine also, an outer reflection of your inner > reality. > Your hair standing on end and your skin crawling indicates that the > Shakti has been activated in you by this occurance. Guest guest
dear one, do not worry about the 'scorpion' - in this world, we all co-exist- all creatures- if i were you, i would transcend this experience and see some powerful message in it- 'scorpion'ay represent some unconscious 'guilt' complex or it may indicate some unfullfilled 'sexual' desire- as our beloved avasa says- go beyond these and look for the 'real' - that of love for the ultimate reality! i always see 'snakes' in my dreams and it could mean many things- it could mean 'dormant' sexual enegies or it could mean 'kundalini' energy? do i care? no, i just move right along!!!!! so, please do not worry about 'scorpions' and 'cocoons' rather look for the 'butterflies' and the 'bees'- spring is right around the corner1 peace!!!!!!
