Guest guest Posted March 13, 2002 Report Share Posted March 13, 2002 alexandra , dear one, adi_ shankara has composed many hymns on several gods and goddesses and written on manasika pujas. adi shankara has composed manasika puja on 'shiva' and also on 'bhagwati' ( a form of devi worshipped in kerala primarily) ! but, i am not aware of one for kali, in particular! but, bhagwati amman is a form of durga/kali( i am not sure??) because in the famous mahaisasura mardini stotra composed by adi shankara durga or mahisasuramardini, he refers to mahisasuramardini as 'bhagwati' ! now, kafka to me all the names of goddesses are interchangeble and represent one DIVINE COSMIC MOTHER OF THE UNIVERSE!
