Guest guest
a night not of darkness but of light! i was there at the siva-vishnu temple from 7:30 pm to 12'o clock - were it not for the fact that i had to report to work this morning, i would have stayed till the next morning! well, it was sheer ecstasy to see the 'linga' abisekha bathed in milk amidst the chanting of rudra chamakm and namakam ! the bhajan group this year was out of the world - these men and women singing the glories of lord shiva all night long transported us to anothe world... the world of 'siva' - 'pure auspiciouness' ' ... this was the night of japa, sadhana, meditation -all at once in the company of devotees - a real satsangha - what a sublime experience - also a humbling experience- that all are equal before the great lord... there was an american gentleman sitting next to me ( from richmond an initiated shiva devotee) - ladies and gentleman., when he recited the rudra chamakam and namakam - i was spellbound- such perfect enunciation and pronounciation... when i complimented him on this, he replied all due to 'shiva' and guru -kripa! well, folks, such occassions come only once a year - not a night of celeberation but a night of contemplation reminding us the grim reality of who we are! love! hari om tat sat!
