Dear Friends,

 

There has been some discussion on this group about bijas and I

thought I would tell you a few things that Karunamayi (Sri Sri Sri

Vijayeswari Devi) has said about the the Sri Saraswathi Mantra:

 

 

"SPIRIT OF COSMIC LOVE FOR

UNIVERSAL INTEGRATION

 

Om Ayim Srim Hrim

Saraswathi Devyai namah

 

Sloka:

 

Om Yakundendu tushara hara dhavala,

Ya Shubra Vastravrita, Ya Veena

Varadanda Mandita Kara, Ya Shweta

Padmasana,

 

Ya Bramhachyta Shakara Prabhritibhih,

Devai Sada Vandita, Sa mam patu,

Saraswathi, Bhagavati, Nisshesha

jadyapaha

 

 

Om Ayim, Srim Hrim Saraswathi Devyai

namah (chant 3 times)

 

This entire world is full of 'nada ' - sound - The basic sound

is 'Omkara'.

 

Many Beeja Mantras emanate from Omkara and are called beejaksharas

(Seed letters).

 

Beejaksharas enliven the speech. If an atom is separated from a

thing, a single atom becomes very powerful. Similarly by meditating

on each and every letter coming out of Nada Bramhamayi, different

effects are delivered. Either by doing the japa or meditation of

beejaksharas, in a set pattern, strong changes take place in the

human body and mind.

 

_Ayim is the Sri Saraswathi beejakshara,

 

Srim is the Sri Mahalaxmi beejakshara,

 

and

 

Hrim - is the Sri Maha Shakti

beejakshara._

 

Akshara in Sanskrit means, that which is imperishable.

 

Wonderful knowledge permeates in the heart of the sadhaka by

meditating upon Sri Saraswathi --who is the embodiment of eternal

knowledge.

 

By mentally doing this Mantra japa, very mild vibrations take place

in the (Sensitive) fine nerves of the brain.

 

These vibrations, activate the main l08 centres of the brain there by

releasing the "Jadatava" - (Lethargy) of the sensitive nerves. Every

human heart has two types of qualities. The positive qualities are

comprised of devotion, mercy, peace, kindness, service, politeness,

knowledge, etc.,

 

Virtuous qualities make man's life radiate with peace. The other

type of quality is characterized by jealousy, doing bad to others,

pretence, hypocrisy, cheating, etc. These qualities will darken the

heart.

 

The Beejaksharas of the Mantra is powerful in destroying the above

mentioned negative tendencies. This Mantra Sadhana also bestows the

experience of Truth and Selflessness. Beejaksharas sprout from

Omkara, like the butter coming out of yoghurt, Sandal fragranze

breezing over Malaya Mountains, nectar from medicines."
