Guest guest
Thanks Sankara, OmPrem and Eve for your excellent advice to our publicity-shy friend. I'll let you know as soon as I hear more, or perhaps she will contact you privately as OmPrem suggested? Since Eve has mentioned a favorite Srividya site (and right enough, it's excellent), let me note one other excellent source. It's called Sri Vidhya Pooja, and it's at: http://sanskrit.bhaarat.com/BrahmaVidya/ If nothing else, you've got to love the animated Rajamatangi graphics on the opening page!!!! But seriously, they sound like a terrific organization; what do you think? Eve? Sankara? Should the Group contact them and see about perhaps affiliating with them? In general, I think it might be a good idea to affiliate with like-minded organizations, so that the Group can serve as a informational clearinghouse and meeting point for Shaktas worldwide. They state: "The SRI RAJAMATHANGI SRIVIDHYA PEETAM TRUST- has been formed with a view to serve all the Devi Upasakas (worshippers of Divine Mother Energy) all over the world. They feel that "Yantra, Mantra and Tantra should be available to each and every true Upasaka without adulteration and in its original form. There is no distinction of caste, creed, colour and religion for the worship of the Divine Mother as everything is considered as "Vidhyamayam"(KNOWLEDGE) and TEJOMAYAM." To that end, they "decided to publish in the official web-site a number of hitherto unpublished or rare articles on various aspects of Sri Vidhya. We look forward to experienced Sri Vidhya Upasakas and Yogacharyas to join as members of this Trust, to serve the humanity. There are no fees involved and only intention to serve the humanity with all earnestness is the criteria. Such of those Upasakas and Yogacharyas who are willing to join us in this task, may kindly provide their name, address, telephone, fax and e-mail details. The Trust would forward the details of any publication that would be published or put into the web-site." They add: "We also look forward to the help, guidance and cooperation of all the Sri Vidhya Upasakas spread all over the world, to contribute any authenticated material, so that they can be screened and published in the web-site of the Trust - . The Trust have almost finalized its work on Prathyinkira, Vanadurga, Sri Vidhya Pooja Paddathi as per Parasurama Kalpasutra, Ratnakara, and Durvasa. The various pooja vidhanams contain very exhaustive renderings, with mudra prakaranams, explanatory notes in English or Tamil for the benefit of the Sri Vidhya Upasakas." Guest guest
Great website my only problem is reading the sanskrit in that weird character language whatever the hell that is. It effectively makes the site pretty useless to me without learning symbol speak. I much prefer transliterated into roman letters. My gripe. I'm no sanskrit scholar having only taken one year of classes on it about twenty years ago. What's a moron like me to do really? - devi_bhakta Monday, April 08, 2002 12:07 PM More on SriVidya Thanks Sankara, OmPrem and Eve for your excellent advice to our publicity-shy friend. Guest guest
Sear all: THANX A LOT DOR THE STE ADDRESS!! i WAS GETTING FRUSTRATED THINKING WHERE THEY ARE!! Earlier they had brahmavidya.org as the site. Then one Swami Bhoomaananda hijacked the site. I know Mr. Sangaranarayan who is the moving spirit. It is true that the site has only Devanagari and Tamil. If any of you want the transliterated stuff I will happily do it, time permitting.
