I am new to this group and very excited to be among such illuminated

worshippers of Sri Yantra and the Goddess Lalita.

I have many questions, but I will start with the classic symbolism of

the 9 planets in Vedic Astrology.

Here is my question to the group. I hope someone here has the insight

to guide me in this symbolism:

Vedic Astrology assigns the planets to the first 9

numbers.

However I am trying to find if there is a canon, a

real standard to this assignment.

Harish Johari has given the following:

1=Sun, 2=Moon, 3=Jupiter, 4=Rahu, 5=Mercury, 6=Venus,

7= Ketu, 8=Saturn, 9=Mars.

However the Rudra center has given the alternate:

1=Sun, 2=Moon, 3=Mars, 4=Mercury, 5=Jupiter, 6=Venus,

7=Saturn, 8=Rahu, 9= Ketu.

Can you help me with this planetary symbolism?

i am also new to this group,but not new to ;so i am

trying to reply you.

the first one is accoring to astrological dasha/graha system,while

the other one is in accordence with days of the week,so both the

systems are correct.The number nine is very importent in indian

philosophy,as for example:

the grahas(or ratnas) are =9;

the gems are also =9;

the organs in body =9.

the sub pattels,or subsequent chakras of goddess tripurasundati=9;

thus it is one of the most important group in shakti cult.
