Guest guest
We've just had a couple of less-than-friendly posts go up, and I don't really like the mood they bring into the Group. To their authors' credit, none of the posts are anonymous or gratuitously mean. The problem -- so often a distraction from things of the spirit -- seems to consist of two things: Politics and Commerce. Shining Lotus was offended by a post offering to sell Rudraksha beads, and composed a parody of the original letter to make that point. Seshadri was offended by a post stating that Hindus kill Muslims, and responds by saying a lot of non-Hindus kill Muslims too, and that Muslims kill a lot of Hindus. All points are appreciated -- but they don't belong in a Group where the subject is Devi and Her worship. So, please, in the future refrain from: * Sectarian/Political Posts that do not directly concern the practice of Shakti Sadhana; and * Commercial Posts, offering to sell things. If you know of someone or some store, etc., that offers goods and services that might be of interest to members, please try to make it a link, not a direct sales pitch. I may be an offender myself. I've put up some stuff about Saranam.com; ExoticIndiaArt.com; and I've linked a "" Booklist at Amazon.com ... and probably some other stuff too. The difference is, these aren't companies I have any ownership or interest in. I have nothing to gain (or lose) by promoting them. If members feel that's wrong, I can stop. Hey, I feel a poll comin' on!
