sage agastya asked shri ramachandra to recite these verses before

undertaking the great war with ravana. as shri rama belonged to the

ishvaku race, sage agastya asked shri rama to invoke the family deity

surya with these prayers. after reciting these prayers, shri rama

felt energized and was able to defeat demon ravana. it is always

beneficial to recite these verses on subday, a day dedicated to

worship of sun god.

our devi bhakta might like to hear a rendering of this ebtire verse

by karnatic music expert sree nityashree - in raga 'surya.' at

sangeetham.com

in all tantrik . before starting meditation, one first

does 'surya' namaskar...

may be our ompremji can write something about the benefits of surya

namaskar in this satsangha.

MAY THE LIGHT OF THOUSAND SUNS SHINE ON THIS SATSANGHA!!!!
