Our Upcoming Goddesses of the Week!

The members have spoken (well, at least eight of you have spoken)! And

here's our GOTW lineup. Hope everyone will be satisfied:

 

For the remainder of this week, our celebration of the Grandmother

Spirit will continue. The wisdom of Dhumavati will be further revealed

in a human incarnation, a "Portrait of a Lady," chosen by Nora as the

next Group picture.

 

The next week, we'll devote eight days (rather than eight weeks!) to

Ashtalakshmi. The Group picture will show all eight forms in a single

image, and the boxed image below will change daily to show each of the

eight separately. Those who enjoy this presentation will have out

beloved member Seshadri to thank for his superb suggestion.

 

The following week, at the learned request of Kallikaputri and the

majority of poll participants, we'll begin Ten Weeks of the Ten

Mahavidyas, in this order:

 

1. Kali

2. Tara

3. Tripura-Sundari

(a/k/a Lalitha, Shodashi, Rajarajeswari, etc.)

4. Bhuvaneswari

(a/k/a Bhudevi, Prakriti, etc.)

5. Chinnamasta

6. Bhairavi

(a/k/a Kalaratri, Chamunda; 12 Bhairavis, etc.)

7. Dhumavati

8. Bagalamukhi

9. Matangi

(a/k/a Meenakshi, Rajamatangi, Shyamala, etc.)

10. Kamala

(a/k/a Sree, Lakshmi)

 

After that, Saraswati will claim her place of honor as GOTW, per

trisdale's request.
