Guest guest
Hello, I have read postings recently discussing the Shakta Upanishads. Does anyone in the group know where one can find English translations? ________________ Your favorite stores, helpful shopping tools and great gift ideas. Guest guest
My Favorite is "Sixty Upanishads of the Veda" by Paul Deussen - lionserpent358 Monday, July 15, 2002 10:53 AM Upanishads I was wondering if anyone here knew of a good version of the Upanishads in English? I have tried reading the editions translated by Max Mueller, but find that I really cannot seem to get much from them. Any ideas?? As for Maatangi, I myself am a musician and would be interested possibly in devotion to this Goddess for her musical aspects. The concept of a Tantric Saraswati is great and not so overwhelmingly "white light" as is the case with most deities large amounts of people get a hold of! Sad thing is, aside from Kinsleys book on the Mahavidyas I have not come across much info on them and I haven't even read his book in awhile............ This list is great so far and I am really enjoying the infromation. Thanks a lot. Guest guest
OM Lionserpent If you go to the website of the Divine Life Society, you will find translations and commentaries by different swamis on several of the Upanishads. Aside from commentaries and translations of the Upanishads, I find one can pick any book by the following and come away more informed, focused and enlightened: 1. Swami Rama 2. Paul Brunton 3. Yogi Ramacharaka 4. Swami Rajarshi Muni 5. Paramahansa Yogananda OM Namah Sivaya Omprem , lionserpent358@a... wrote: > I was wondering if anyone here knew of a good version of the Upanishads in > English?
