My response is, "Why not?" Devi can take any form -- she *is* form, after all -- and if we need a Big Mama, She'll be one for us, and if our soul needs to rest on a Jeweled Island, she'll provide it. Without getting into metaphysics, these heavenly visions -- I believe -- exist in those areas of Reality that fall between the Manifest and the Transcendent. They are a higher reality, though not yet the highest." >From message 77 Once a upon a time theres, a little shrine, locate in the heart of an oil palm estate. From a shrine it grew to become a small temple, we named Sri Shaktimigudurgaiamman. It became very popular and more people came to the temple. As the devotee numbers grew and people flocking in to the temple, so does jealousy, pride and ego .... Now what is left is a barren piece of land, with no trees or grass ever grow in a once fertile place filled with fruits and beautiful flowers. ....... but every year, August 31st, a small group of devotees still feels connected to the Divine Mother, will gather at Sri Mariamman Temple. Located about 2km from where the once grand temple lies. On that day we do a Maha Abishegam and pooja in the name of Sri Shaktimigudurgaiamman. The Mother we once have fallen in love with and still feel the love inside our heart. What is left is only the piece of barren land to remind us and pictures to keep the memory alive. I like to share some pictures and I have place them in the group album I called "The Last Abishegam" The missing pieces …. … the young lady sat in silence under the night sky. Sadness in her face because she know her beloved `college' which is the temple will be demolish soon. This "college" is a very special place for her. This is where she learnt about the Divine Mother that she have fallen in love with. A place that have provide her the sanctuary all these years. ….. that night she had a dream. She saw herself walking in the temple compound. It was daytime but the whole temple was in darkness. A dark cloud hang over the temple, blocking the sunlight. All the devotees including the priest was sleeping, leaning against the wall. They appear pale and tired. One man was struggling to get up, but he eventually fall back and went into unconscious stage. She heard a voice calling her gently. She followed it, and it lead her to a path. She saw a stairs made of gold, and when she look up, she saw a beautiful lady in green sari, and all her refineries, looking down at her smiling. She took the courage to climb the stairs, with her a tray filled with fruits and sweets. She have never seen this lady before. The beautiful lady blessed her and told her that her "college" can be saved if they do a "special pooja". When the young lady got up the next day, she told them about her dream. Nobody listen to her. Who is she? They say. Why should we listen to somebody who knows nothing ? We know better. Nevertheless the image of the Beautiful Lady in Green Sari made a permanent impression in her heart and mind. A good friend asked once "When will it be enough for you, Nora" " enough is when I climb on that golden stairs again, this time it will not just a dream but the ultimate reality, and she will accept not only my gifts and bless me, she will embraced me and I will dissolve into The Formless one" Om Parashaktiye Namaha
