Feminine -- Supreme or Equal?

Is Devi alone supreme, or is there an equal partnership of masculine

and feminine? Intellectually, rationally, I know that the two are in

perfect balance and harmony in the Most High. But my heart feels all

the love and devotion supremely for Devi (or the Divine Feminine, or

however one might express it in Islam, the feminine aspect of Allah as

Divine Mother), so much that my conception of the ultimate Reality is

Feminine (known in Sufism as Dhat, the divine Essence).

 

The Feminine is of course not exclusively tied to the physical

manifestation of femaleness (I reverence the Feminine that lives

within my man-self), but nevertheless Its glory is pre-eminent in

Woman, therefore I see the Goddess in all women and I love them all,

for the love of Devi. I believe that Devi loves men, too, so if we

follow Her we must be good to men as well as to women, because She

wants only goodness and happiness for all beings. To really live our

devotion for Her, we must not harbor unfairness or antipathy toward

any class of people, only love and benevolence as She teaches us.

men created ? for good women!!!

exactly!!! the feminine aspect or attribute!! this is the divine

feminine or divinely feminine - the attributes of compassion, mercy,

kindness, forgiveness, tolerance, patience, forbearance, ....

etc....

allaha's names ------------------------devi's qualities

 

AR-Rahman- the most compassionate one -karuna mayi ( in sanskrit)

 

ar-RahiM- THE MOST MERCIFUL - daya mayi (in sanskrit)

 

(etc...... etc....

 

the 99 names of allah describe all the qualities of the devi as

well....

 

i am reminded of a powerful rumi quote...

 

"If ten lamps are in one place, each differs in form from another;

yet you can't distinguish whose radiance is whose when you focus on

the light. In the field of spirit there is no division; no

individuals exist. Sweet is the oneness of the Friend with His

friends. Catch hold of spirit. Help this headstrong self

disintegrate; that beneath it you may discover unity, like a burried

treasure."
