Guest guest
The 12 forms of Kali mainly associated with certain aspects of Kashmir Saivism, in which the stages and rhythms of consciousness are affirmed to be the ground reality and are identified with 12 Kali. This is Kali in her different form is a symbolic consciousness and of the processes whereby recognition and knowledge take place. In this aspect Kali is taken as to be the innermost essence of reality and the most appropriate symbol of that essence. The 12 forms are in association with her operations: The object world: · Sristi Kali : She present as the first impulse of any perception. · Rakta Kali : She is the direct perception. · Sthitinasha Kali : She is appeased state where the curiosity of perception had ended · Yama Kali: She winds up the state of thinking and perceiving again and again resides in her own nature. The cognitive world : · Samhara Kali : the impressions of the objective world appear as faint clouds in a clear blue sky. Here one feels, " I have destroyed duality" · Mrityu Kali: these clouds disappear and one begins to feels oneness. · Rudra Kali : She destroys all remaining doubts and suspicions that hold one back on the path to God consciousness. · Martanda Kali : She absorbs the energies of cognition into Herself. The Pure subjectivity: · Paramarka Kali: She is that state in which the limited ego, which holds the twelve organs of cognition, is dissolved. · Kalagnirudra Kali : The functions of time still exists. · Mahakala Kali : just like a morsel of food, in one gulp She digests time, along with the totality of the universe. It is here that Kali dances in the universal cremation ground. · Maha-bhairave-ghora-canda Kali : Here the effulgent light of supreme consciousness, responsible for manifesting the subjective, objective and cognitive worlds is held in a state of oneness. It is through this twelve manifestations SHE creates, maintains and destroy the whole universe from within her own nature. Reference : David Kinsley: The Ten Mahavidyas.
