Guest guest
Here is what my soul friend bodiavasa wrote on the subject of guru which is worth recapitulating... " Without the guidance of a guru the chances of enlightenment are very very slim. The odds agianst you seeing who you are and the continuation of suffering are all the days of your Life to 1 against, with such odds are you still prepared to stick to the safety of books and rituals which your mind can distort to its own meaning and wishes or are you really ready to see that Truth and allow all your most cherished beliefs to burn in the fires of hell which will reveal themselves to be the flames of Love. The Guru may appear in a form just like your own but do not be fooled she/he is not in the same league that you are, no longer living in the illusion of attaining. When your Heart is full of the desire for a realised one to appear in your Life that One will appear without any effort on your part. If this takes place give yourself utterly even your very Life itself if called for and you will be free of YOU. All your desires for enlightenment pertain to the one whom you imagine yourself to be, who you REALLY are cares nothing for the games of that concept. Surrender at the feet of one who is here now in bodily form and throw the past away, it is dead and can speak only to the dead, to live be in the presence of the living ONE." Enjoy and celebrate Avasa ********************************************************************** the last i knew bodhiavasa was in indonesia and i have not heard from him since then. he was a prolific contributor and also someone who spoke from direct experience... he rarely quoted anyone... rather, he himslf was so 'quotable' .... A bodisattwa full of compassion and love!do we miss him or what?
