Guest guest
to all fathers in this forum with a 'mother' heart! There are many single fathers out there who are both 'father nand mother' to their kids. happy father's day to you all! Then there are 'fathers' who also do a great job of 'nurturing' as a mother figure in two-income families... many fathers don on a mother's role when their spouses are busy working or away on bussiness trips,.. well, who said only a mother can be a mother? fathers make great 'mothers' too! my dad was a very , loving , caring, nurturing dad... in fact, i was very close to him... he brought out the best in me and i remember when i got married and left to join my husband, his parting words to me were " now, who will comment on my editorials and offer croticism? who is there to admire my articles ? " there were tears in his eyes when he bade me goodbye at the train station... then when i was expecting my first child, he visted me along with my mom and offered me all the help ... he was so delirious when he became a grandpa that he said " my baby has now a baby" and celebrated the occassion by distributing sweets to all his employees at work. I could confide more in my dad than my mom for my dad was more understanding and was a creative listener... so guys, there are no more such distinctions - THAT A FATHER IS ONLY A FATHER AND A MOTHER ONLY A MOTHER... in this age, roles have reversed - more and more fathers are developing 'mother' like qualiitie and mothers are developing 'father' like qualities... the typical jungian anima-animus qualities! There is a hindu prayer which goes like this .. Twameva mata pita twameva twamva bandhu sakha twameva ! O LORD, YOU ARE MY FATHER AND MOTHER! YOU ARE MY FRIEND AS WELL AS MY RELATIVE! love to all !!!!
