Among all the Mahavidyas Bhairavi stood distinctive different in a

way that she have the most forms than the others. And each forms have

separate mantras and yantras in tantaric manuals.

In tantarasara describe Bhairavi as having twelve forms. This gives

us an idea of how multifaceted Bhairavi is, she not only being the

embodiment of destruction but also gives a range of blessings.

Some of Bhairavi forms :

1. Sampatprada-Bhairavi : she gives riches. In the dhyana

mantras as Sampatprada-Bhairavi she is describes as being intoxicated

with her youth, she is attractive, young and shapely.

2. Sakalasiddhi – Bhairavi : she is the one who grants every

perfection

3. Caitanya-Bhairavi : she gives awakened consciousness.

4. Bhuvanesvari-Bhairavi : she is present in creation and

engenders growth.

5. Kamesvari-Bhairavi : she kindles sexual desire and grants

sexual gratification. Denotes the other aspect of Kama-deva, the god

of sexual desire. As Kamasvari she embodies sexual desire and lends

to creation its distinctive quality of being pervaded by mutual

attaction of the sexes.

6. Annapurnesvari-Bhairavi : she gives food.

In her thousand –name hymn from the Visvasara-tantra, Bhairavi

has

several names ;

Paramesvari = this associate her with philosophical or cosmic

absolutes.

Jaganmata = mother of the world

Jagaddhatri = world nurse or she who nourishes the world.

Parama = she who is the highest

Srstisamharakarini= she who is the cause of creation and destruction

She is called the lovely one

She whose form is Semen

Who produces Semen

Who gives love

Who enjoys sexual intercourse

Who is dear to Kama

Who dwells in the Yoni.

Others in Sakta-pramoda she is called

She who is fond of semen and menstrual blood

She who is worshiped by those who worship with semen
