Namaste to All!

A member received news from an old friend of this Group, one

PenKatali, who was for a long time a great asset and participant

here -- especially back in the days when we were still a Club, not a

Group. For newer members who don't recall PenKatali, he's a Sufi and

erudite devotee of the Goddess who contributed some wonderful posts

here -- including a full translation from Sanskrit of the 100-verse

Tantric hymn to the Goddess, Saundarya Lahari (Flood of Beauty) --

which you'll still find compiled in our "Files" section. To see some

of his thought-provoking work and essays, I encourage you to visit

his lovely and original homepage: http://www.penkatali.org

Without any further ado, here is the latest news from PK:

"I was just thinking about you all. I have been missing our

fascinating discussions and beautiful sharing of love. I miss

everyone at Shakti Sadhana, please tell them I send my love and

blessings.

"My circumstances these days allow me very little

time to spend online. I can only grab a few minutes here and there.

Shakti Sadhana discussion requires my full attention sustained over a

considerable time, in order for me to understand and do justice to

the important subjects therein. I don't want to superficially skim

over it. If I get into it I want to give it my full time and

attention (which are claimed by other things these days, alas).

"I am still living in the love of Divine Mother every moment.

Although I regret that the garden of my spiritual life hasn't been

getting watered as it should, lately. You are always in my prayers

and I hope you will remember me in your prayers.

"I look forward to once again being able to share love and thoughts

with you and everyone at Shakti Sadhana as before, all the time. I

have so much unfinished business there to resume, hopefully someday

soon. If you know of any good Karnatik music, or Bharatanatyam, or

other Dravidian cultural events coming up in the Washington area,

please let me know."

We certainly will, PK! Hope to see you back soon!
