Guest guest
Shri Ramana Maharshi was a remarkable sage in many ways. His magnetic infuence and personality brings in people from all over the world. One of his many students writes "When he smiled it was as though the gates of Heaven were thrown open. I have never seen eyes more alight with Divine Illumination – they shine like stars. It is not necessary for him to talk, His silent influences of Love and Light is more potent than words could ever be. I did not know what manner of man I expected to find. I don't think there is another like him on earth today. To see Him is to love Him " Shri Maharshi firmly believed that giving up the like of a householder was not a prerequisite to realization- though he become an ascetic himself at the early age of seventeen. To a discipline who was eager to give up his job and remain always with him, he sage explained "Renunciation does not mean outward divestment of clothes and so on or the abandonment of home. True renunciation is the renunciation of desires, passions and attachment" With me is an article written by Prem Lata so some of Shri Maharshi views on The householder and Renunciation. The article is in the file section of the group, tittled : The Householder and Renunciation. Om ParaShaktiye Namastasyai, namastasyai, namastasyai namo namah
