Guest guest
Well several post prompt me to relate this story : the mentioning of Mooambiga and our Goddess of the Week : Sri Nageshwari Devi Theres a Mookambiga Temple, about 15 mins where I am staying. A very beautiful temple but the most unique about this temple is that it is situated right at the entrance of a Shopping Mall. Not just an ordinary Mall but one of the largest and popular Mall in Kuala Lumpur City. Two members of this group came to Kuala Lumpur, and I have brought them to the temple. Their remark "I have never seen such a temple before !" History of the temple is that initially it was only a little shrine. Managed by an elderly Shakta lady. Apparently the shrine have been there for a very long time. A Chinese businessman bought the land with an intention of building a Shopping Mall. He subsequently asked the shrine to be moved. The lady told him that he have to move her and the temple himself. They send in workers and bulldozers, but none of them willing to go near the shrine, especially when they saw a lone elderly lady sitting in Yellow Sari meditating. Those who dare were either fallen sick or got themselves into injuries. So eventually the businessman decided to call a management meeting to discuss the issue. During the meeting, they got a shocked of their life when they discover a Cobra `sitting' comfortably under the conference table. Being a suspicious man, the businessman immediately call off the order to move the shrine. Instead he gave a huge sum and supported in the building of the temple. They just had their first Kumbabishegam few weeks ago. Well I think Nageswari Devi does teach us something, and that is if you want to get any results, go straight to the boss. Don't bother the workers after all they are paid to do what they are suppose to do and they too have dependents.
