Guest guest
Namaskar! This is to formally announce the launching of the Shakti Sadhana Homepage, a permanent home for this Group and its members! You'll find it at: http://shaktisadhana.50megs.com Obviously, we've only just begun: There are lots more pictures to come, more articles and more features as well. Please feel free to suggest any additions and improvements you'd like to see. We'd love to hear if you like the page -- and we *want* to hear about about it if you don't! The homepage will remain a work in progress, always growing and improving. And we hope you'll choose to be a part of it: If you have written on the subject on Devi or Shaktism, and don't want your work to be buried in the Group archive, simply submit your article to the homepage and we'll gladly memorialize it as part of our permanent collection. Same with any favorite pictures -- our Group photo album is already full, so here's a great place for our image collection to grow!) One reason that Nora and I have been quieter than usual around the Group these last few weeks is because we've been trying to whip the homepage into presentable condition! The summer months tend to be slow around anyway. I'm told; but we hope to see a lot more activity as we head into autumn, and as new members from outside the established community come and join our Group -- which will remain our center of concentration. As always, please tell any like-minded friends and acquaintances about our Group! By Devi's grace, you -- and all members -- are its lifeblood. Jai Maa! TheGoddessIsInMe and Devi_Bhakta Moderators, Shakti Sadhana P.S. Please note that, as we launch our new homepage, we've also decided to turn over a new leaf at the Group itself. In the past, as you may know, we have been forced to ban certain ID's (only three or four in all) that were causing unusual levels of strife or disturbance in the Group forum, or abusing its members. But banning a member is an ugly and extreme measure, and it can taint the entire "feel" of a Group even more than an unruly member can. Therefore, in the spirit of goodwill, trust and friendship among Devi's children, we have removed ALL bans at Shakti Sadhana. ALL are welcome here who are willing to respect Devi and our membership. We do not have to agree with one another, hold the same religious views, or conform to a single "party line" -- however, civility and mutual respect are absolutely essential. Guest guest
Pranam. I really enjoyed the site. However, if it is not too much trouble, can you pls add a page on my Kali ma? I would be ever so grateful. With Love Shankaree P.s. I really loved the various pictures of Aatha. Thank You!! Guest guest
Pranam. Devi_bhakta, may I compliment you on the painting of Maatangi Devi? It was superb. The veena, the skull and the bloody weapon highlights both Her benign and destructive side. And, I am not sure how this is going to sound but She does look like a tribal girl. Once again, kudos. Guest guest
Thank you Blueblackeyes, Shankaree, Baba and Dashiki Djibouti for taking the time to check out and comment on the new homepage! Your comments are humbling and very much appreciated. As I noted before, we invite (and implore!) ALL members to offer their critiques -- everything from broken links to missing Goddesses - - and contribute their favorite images and writings extolling Devi. Guest guest
Namaste Shankaree! *** I really enjoyed the site. However, if it is not too much trouble, can you pls add a page on my Kali ma? I would be ever so grateful. *** No worries, we've not forgotten Kali Maa!Our very own Yeshe_O is a Kali bhakta and Web designer in one, so we're hoping she'll have a show-stopping Kali page up in very short order. Send any thoughts and suggestions her way. *** P.S. I really loved the various pictures of Aatha. Thank You!! *** That was Nora's doing! She's really done some tremendous work as the site's resident HTML Queen. She's gotten me out of quite a few self- created jams as our work progressed; frankly, the site would have been a bit of a hack job, left solely to me! LOL Thanks again for the suggestion, Shankaree! Keep checking back; your wish should soon see fulfillment! DB
