Guest guest
Good Thursday to all fellow sadhakas, Today marks the first day of my stab at being a vegetarian for life (no eggs this time). For those of you who have already succeeded at being vegetarians for several years, your silent well wishes/prayers for my success would be immensely appreciated. I need all the help I can get! A question: Well-read vegetarians will be aware of the huge toll giant American fast-food corporations like McMurder and Murder King have exacted on animal lives. What are the particular opinions of your teachers or satsang groups on the act of patronising these fast-food store for their vegetarian items only? I live in a cosmopolitan city where there is one of these outlets wherever I cast my glance, and sometimes it is impossible not to avoid patronising them when I am in need of a drink. Of course, as a puny single customer my money would not be missed if I refrained forever; ... how negligible are the karmic consequences from buying an occasional cup of drink from a corporation who butchers cows on a large scale? Your assessments are appreciated. Hari Om Tat Sat
Guest guest
So becoming a vegetarian eh! Good luck to you. You have my prayers. "McMurder and Murder King" Stay away from them as far as possible. Bring your own drinks. Mineral water is best. Cheaper too ! Om Shanti
