Guest guest
"You have extremely noble and most kind thinking, but I think as the sun shines and its rays fall on the trees and plants, not all flowers bloom, some remain close petaled. Also, certain type of things are not meant for all. Most of this world is filled with dirt andsoot. And mankind is not ready for enlightenment through higher practice of worship. However, we can be hopeful" Perhaps I should explain further my stand on this statement. Yes! I agree with you Gene that these words is full of metaphor and it depends on how one interprete it. It can be a cynicistic or it can an inspiration. To me it's an inspiration and a reminder to me to seek the higher self within me. What was I thinking then when I receive this post that make me to response : "It was indeed true…. It's the hope that gives us the courage and the willingliness to go on …" Several things that is being said in this statement that made me to react as such : ".. think as the sun shines and its rays fall on the trees and plants, not all flowers bloom, some remain close petaled" How true if you really think of it. If you look at it closely, some flower remain closed petaled because its not time for it to bloom. If you are not ready, then you are not!. Why try to force yourself; for it will actually burn and cause your own premature "death". The shining of the sun and the blooming of the flowers are all part of a natural process. Something that we have no control of it. Human always think that they can control nature, but they cant. This is my believe : Nature have its own agenda. "Most of this World is filled with dirt and soot" The immediate response come to my mind is the pollution itself as I see around me right now. It is us ( the inhabitants ) who filled this world with dirt and soot. The World/Earth itself is sacred and pure. Its our actions that lead us to pollution. But if we still have the desire to maintain its sacredness and pure state we can do something about it. It is never too late. That is why I said: there is still hope. It's the hope that gives us the courage and the willingliness to go on. The problem is when we choose not to do anything about it. Decides to run away to the highest mountain with the hope that the pollution will not get them. It does not solve the problem nor will it do any good because eventually the pollution will get to them. We have to face the reality and come to terms with it, and finding a way of how to make this world a better place to be. To me that is how I see it. Sister Usha has said it beautifully "It is impossible to bring infinite wisdom to every person in the world, but any increase in the level of wisdom is beneficial. It is preferable to help others seek even a little light rather than finding enlightenment for oneself," "And mankind is not ready for enlightenment through higher practice of worship" Mankind is not ready for enlightenment through higher practice of worship because we are constantly trying to find the definition to the term. What do we understand by this "higher practice of worship"? We often heard this statement "This is the correct one". "This is what it should be, others are wrong". Worst still there are others who try to rob you of your faith. Makes you feel guilty of the path that you have choose. So to me this remarks lead me to really look at myself and evaluate my own spiritual practice. Instead of letting others to decide and define for me what do I understand by "higher practice of worship", I set my own definition.
