Guest guest
Namaskar to all, A lot has been on my mind lately with my upcoming India trip and everything. I can't help but be amazed at what I am doing. 3 years ago I wouldn't have known what a Mridangam, Tabla, Dhrupad, or the first thing about Hinduism was! Now I am an obsessed student of Indian music, art, culture and language. I am trying to help this local Bengali organization secure a place for their pujas. So far I have found a University which has space available and it might work. For my efforts the founder said I was welcome to all of their events and pujas! It might be something so simple for them, but it means so much to me to attend a Kali Puja! I hope I am still here when it happens! This is not my doing! I have simply responded to some very poweful spiritual experiences where I saw Kali Ma and Shiva before I even really knew anything about them. Amazing! I could never thank my Gods enough-It is their blessing which is the source of all my actions so the credit is due to them. I have a nice empty house this weekend and promised Ma that I would do something special for her. I do not know too many Mantras and have always had a fear of mispronouncing them. It is rather difficult to know the right things to say just from reading them. What do you think of OM KRIM KALI as a mantra? It's simple and direct. What I want to do is clean off my altars. Give prayers and some offerings to Ganesha. Ask for him to open the gate so I can commune with Ma and then give her some water, maybe fruits and some flowers. Talk to her and thank her and then do 5 repetitions of a 108 beaded Mala saying the Mantra. It's simple enough and perhaps not a thorough Puja, but I love her so much I know something will get through. Any suggestions please do tell! Jai Kali Ma William
Guest guest
for a person who does not have a guru and wants the most out of her a kali sadhana I suggest the mantra krim krim krim (prounounced as spelt) or hrim shrim krim vajrahaste mahakali darshaya darshaya kum kum kum kum phat swaha the kum kum kum kum mantra is very powerful but will not cause harm whereas the others are expressions of the relationship between mahakali and the supreme divinity through a personality. Vajrahaste simply is there to clear the mind, I suggest to cut down on talking (as much as possible), and use the tamasic method of worship with rum and a bali of lime. Guest guest
Hi William: The Group automatically removes non-text attachments, so your image didn't come through. There are three alternatives: 1. Post a link to a site where the image is posted; 2. Post the image to the Kali folder of the Group photo gallery; or, if all else fails, 3. Send the image to me (devi_bhakta) and I will post it. Thanks for your comments and advice! Great stuff! Guest guest
Namaste, my brother. Why you say "... damn Kali image"? Please do not use such language. --- lionserpent358 wrote: > ...........and of course in my ranting I forgot to > attach the damn Kali image! > > > > > Here it is now;-) I will resend send the screen > image after I rent this > studio and print it so you can check it out. > > JAi Ma > > William > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been > removed] > > New DSL Internet Access from SBC & http://sbc.
