Guest guest
Namaste to All: This is just a heads up, that I've added my long-promised PARVATI presentation to the homepage. I figured it was appropriate, while She's still our active Goddess of the Week. Here's the link: http://shaktisadhana.50megs.com/parvati.html In other homepage news: Our longtime friend and supporter Dashiki Djibouti -- a true and knowledgeable devotee of the Mahavidya Kamala, "the Tantric Lakshmi" -- has contributed a fantastic Kamala page, which I'll link to the site within the next day or so. I'm waiting on an original painting of Kamala by Dashiki himself. Also on the Mahavidya Menu: 1. KALI - Yeshe_O and I finished going through the copy and art over the weekend, but now she's gone missing. I think she's down sick, and we certainly all send our prayers for her prompt recovery. 2. TARA - Nora and Dakinic_Monk are collaborating on something to salue this essential "link goddess" between Tantric Hinduism and Tantric Buddhism. Expect Nora to tackle the fascinating Kwan Yin connection as well. 3. TRIPURASUNDARI - I'm agitating for our good friend Om Nagarajan to prepare this one. 4. BHUVANESWARI - STILL LOOKING FOR THE RIGHT SHAKTA!!! 5. CHINNAMASTA - Hoping for OmPrem to do this one; he has posted some amazing material on Her connection with Hatha Yoga. 6. BHAIRAVI - STILL LOOKING FOR THE RIGHT SHAKTA!!! 7. DHUMAVATI - I'm thinking of doing this page as a "Shakti Sadhana" group effort. There are lots of great posts and discussions in the archives, which I'll probably compile as text. 8. BAGALAMUKHI - This one will feature the work of our once (and future, I hope!) member, Sankarrukku. Sankarrukku left to start his own , the excellent "Shaktha Family." But before he left, he contributed some fine ruminations on Bagala; so I'll use those and link up to his new group and homepage from there. 9. MATANGI - I've already posted Her page, and will continue to polish and improve it. 10. KAMALA - As I mentioned, DD just contributed this one, and it will go up this week with any luck. At some point soon, many of our current main-page links will begin to disappear. A new "Ten Mahavidyas" page will contain sublinks to al of the 10 goddess forms above. "Mahishasura Mardini" will probably be subsumed into a link off the main "Durga" page -- and so on. My next homepage project -- probably for posting by the end of the month -- will be an overarching page entitled "MahaDevi: The Great Goddess." It will spell out the basic tenets of "pure" Shaktism, and link off to the Parvati, Lakshmi and Saraswati pages (those last two will be done by Nora this month), with cross-links to the Kali and Lalitha pages. It will also feature an introduction to the great Devi Bhagavata Purana, just as the "Mahisasura Mardini" page features introductory materials on the Devi Mahatmayam. In the meantime, we've just *got* to keep on reformating worthy old Group posts and compiling them on the "Articles" page. ANY VOLUNTEERS??!! ;-) Thanks in advance, brave souls!
