They have many ceremonies, including in school, to honour Saraswati, and ask for her blessings and inspiration. She is the spiritual consort of Brahma, the Creator- aspect of the male trinity. Saraswati's four hands each bear a Gift to her devotees. She stands upon a lotus, which shows the "natural openess" needed for true creativity and learning.
