I have not seen any one having more charitable disposition . O Reedemer of the woes of the distressed ! 7] Sab Kar Mansa purvat mata Mahima amit jagat vikhyata O Mother! You fulfil your devotees desires, for which you are known all over the world. 8] Jo Jan dhyan tumharo lave, So turarahi wanchhita phal pave He who worships you with single-minded devotion immediately has all his desires fulfilled. 9] Tuhi Vaishnavi aru Rudrani Tuhi Sharada aru Brahmani You are yourself the form of Goddess Vaishnavi. You are also Rudrani ( wife of Lord Rudra or Lord Shiva ). You are Goddess Sharada and you are Brahmani 10] Rama radhika Shyama Kali Tu Hi Matu santan pratipali The different Goddess – Rama, Radhika and Kali – are your varied forms, O Mother, you only protect and preserve noble persons. 11] Uma Madhavi Chandi Jwala begi Mohi par hou dayala Uma, Madhavi, Chandi and Jwala are your various names. Kindly shower your favour upon me soon 12] Tum Hi Hingalak Maharani Tum Hi Sheetala aru Vigyani You are also known as Maharani of Hingalak and Mother Sheetala. With you favour one can achieve anything one likes 22] Kripa karahu mo par Maharani Siddh karau Ambe mum bani O Queen of Goddesses ! Shower thy favour on me and prove my words 23] Jo nar dhare Matu Kar dhyana Ta kar sada hoy Kalyana One who worships Mata with devotion is ever happy and prosperous. 24] Vippati tahi sapnehu nahi ave Jo Devi kau Jap Karave One who chants the name of Goddess never faces any trouble even in dreams 25] Jo nar kahan wrina hoya apara So nar ath karey shatvara One who is buried under heavy debt should chant this ( Chalisa ) for a hundred times 26] Nishchaya wrine mochan hui jayi JO nar path kare man layi He who reads this ( Chalisa) with single minded devotion shall clear all his debts without any problems 27] Asuti jo nar padha padhave Ya jag men so bahu sukh pave He who reads these hymns with devotion and also makes others read them derives much pleasure in this world. 28] Jako vyadhi satave bhai Jap karati sab door parai When one falls ill or gets afflicted with the evil spirits, he must read this to get rid of all problems 29] Jo nar ati bandhan men hoi Bar hazar paaht kar soi If a man be in some grave bondage, he must read this [ Chalisa ] a thousand times to get imself released. 30] Nishchay bandhan se chhuti jai Satya vachan mum manahu bhai He shall definitely get released from all bondages. O brother! Deem my saying to be true. 31] Jo par jo kachhu sankat hoi Nishchaya Devihi sumire soi If anyone be facing any trouble, he must chant praise of the Goddess with Devotion. 32] Ja kahan putra hoy nahim bhayi So nar ya vidhi kare upayi If a couple be without a child, then they must follow this method ( given below ) 33] Panch baras so path karave Nauratan mahan vipra jimave The couple must worship the Goddess continuously for five years and must feed the Brahmans during the Navaratra ( The nine nights devoted to Devi's worship ) 34] Nishchaya honya parasanna Bhavani Putra dehin takham gun khani If one does the chanting of the Devi's name with full rituals he shall definitely be blessed with a virtous child by the Goddess's grace. 35] Dhwaja nariyal ani chadhave Vidhi samet poojan karvave That devotee, after getting the son, should go to the temple, of Vindhyavasini Devi and offer a coconut, hoist a flag and do the ritual worship ceremonially. 36] Nit prati path kare man layi Prem sahit nahin ani upayi There is no other alternative save worshipping the Goddess every day with full devotion. 37] Yah Shree Vindhyachal Chalisa Rank padhat hove avaneesa Even a pauper who reads this hymns of the goddess, is likely to become a king 38] Yah jani acharaj manahu bhai Kripa drishthi ja ppar hoi jai Please do not get surprised, but if the Goddess showers Her favour even the impossible things can be achieved by a true devotee. 39] Jai jai jai, jag Matu Bhavani Karahu Kripa mo par jan jani O Mother of the World! Deeming to me to be your devotee, please grant me your favour. O Bhavani ! Victory to thee 40] Yah Chalisa jo koi gave Sab Sukh bhog parampad pave He who sings these forty couplets devoted to the glory of all Goddess enjoys every pleasure of the world and ( after death ) attains the Highest State.
