Guest guest
Namaste and Happy Deepavali to All! A long time ago, I promised that I'd put up a Sri-Lakshmi page before Deepavali, and -- wouldn't you know it -- I've pushed it to the wall. However, since it's generally a really bad idea to break a vow concerning Lakshmi, I finally did finsih my work on Version 1 of Her page. The links will go up tomorrow (I've got to catch a train!), but you can see it right here today: http://shaktisadhana.50megs.com/lakshmi.html Like all of the other presentations on the homepage, you can expect this one to be constantly tweaked and improved over time. Speaking of which, I did overhaul a number of presentations this past week. That means proofing and adjusting text, changing pics or pic sizes, streamlining code, etc. The work was spread all over the site, but some important content changes appear on Lajja Gauri's page, which can now be considered Version 2: http://shaktisadhana.50megs.com/lajjahGauri.html Nora's gone to visit her inlaws for Deepavali and won't be around for a few days; but I've taken the liberty of posting her Saraswati presentation. I'll be adjusting it over the next few days to get it into top shape for Nora's return later in the week: http://shaktisadhana.50megs.com/saraswatidevi.html That means we've got all of the major Devi forms up and available now: Durga, Parvati, Kali, Lakshmi, Saraswati; now we'll turn to the Ten Mahavidyas. OmPrem has already contributed a great text for the Chinnamasta; Kochu is working on a Shodashi page. Chumki's fantastic memoir of childhood Durga Pujas in Calcutta will go online this week too, with any luck. She's expanded and improved upon the version I posted a few weeks ago; I'm excited and honored to add her excellent essay to the group homepage. That's all for now. My apologies for my infrequent work here in recent weeks. Things are a bit crazy on the personal front these days (changing jobs, changing houses, etc!!!), but I'm hoping to get a *lot* of Group work done in November. Let's see if it happens. In the meantime, a warm welcome to all new members, and a heartfelt thank you to all of you who've made this Group a part of your routine, and who contribute so generously to the discussion forum. Aum Maatangyai Namahe! DB
