Actually I willbe near you at first, I am landing in Bombay and staying a few days before catching a train to Calcutta's Howrah station from the Victoria Terminus. So watch out! Please explain the misunderstanding and your situation to the visa officials there. I am sure they will grant you an extension. I say this with pressure, becasue visa offices here are really not very friendly and as adi-shakti has pointed out they tend to be very very time consuming. You will be stuck running up and down the visa office everyday and may have to spend unnecessary amounts of money . I have had very bad experiences with visa officials here. So its better you clear this out with the office there. I am so happy that you are coming to India to learn music.
