Guest guest
In Message 175 I remarked : "I remember reading a book about Shiva and why he is special, and the only one to be the consort of Devi. Once Devi appears before the three of them ( Brahman, Vishnu and Shiva ) in one of her most fierceful form. Brahman just turn his head, and Vishnu close his eyes. Shiva look at Devi and smile. Another story tells of how the Devi again appear before the three of them in yet another horrible form, this time like a decompose corpse. And again Brahma turn his head, Vishnu hide his face, but Shiva embrace Devi lovingly. What makes Shiva so special is that he is aware of everything at all times and he is almost never touched by Maya. He is able to see beyond all Maya." In Devi Mahatmaya : The Fifth Chapter "Devi's conversation with the messenger", Devi remarked : "He who conquers me in battle, removes my pride and is my match in strength in the world shall be my husband" I believe the meaning to his is almost the same as the above message 175, and this refers to both the Male and Female Sadhak. A person who is able to overcome or see the maya only then able to merge with Devi. Thus I called the term : becoming Sivan. I was told that a Sadhak who have accomplish their sadhana is also called a shivan. Here is a picture of Devi as Shivan : http://shaktisadhana.50megs.com/images/Devishiva.jpg Now my questions ( or just some thoughts been bugging me lately) : Does becoming a shivan is the same from a Shakta perspective to that of a shivite?
