Guest guest
Prologue Tantra is perceived into three major groups satvic, tamas and rajas. I will not venture too much into the satvic since it is identical to Vedanta hence those who do it should rather stick to Vedanta. Tamas is what I do so basically in that field I have some exp however rajas is something I choose not to go into since only the most competent sadhakas do it and rajas in it's true level has no rituals what soever all the animal bali is done on the inside the cleansing as it is called. These three schools also have three premises the divya the vira and the pashu they are the hierarchical stages a sadhaka will go through and they are three paths, which one can choose. Most Tantras see the divine in a particular form, and praise that form to be the greatest. Don't be stupid and think at as being the entire truth, the formless is the highest but since man with logic and a low level consciousness cannot perceive this hence man then meditates on a form. There are gods and goddesses (ethereal beings) and they are as real as you or me, however the theory of good and evil as we perceive it is wrong, evil is to be respected as well it is just as much a form of God as Ganesha or Shiva. They are there to make the world go in a circle like formation (the chakra, the karma chakra). The evil pushes down to what is known as destruction whereas the Good pushes up as creation. Hence we mostly worship the devas or suras to be accurate cause they benefit us. You should understand that this whole process of calling an external being is phase on later on you will realise that you to have the essence of that particular deity and then you will invoke that destroying yourself or your identity and letting this essence take over (sharana). Tantra is based on the Kundalini the serpent power, it is what we all call Devi but the accurate definition is Shakti. I am not going to mention Kundalini as much so if you are interested in pursuing Tantra you better do your research on your own. -------- From here on in you better be familiar with these terms: Kundalini, Bhuta Shuddhi, Pranayama, Kriya Yoga and prana, apana, jatha Agni and bhuta agni------ --------------- These postings are here to destroy any misconceptions of Tantra in people; it is not some magical or mystical thing everything is scientific and if you do not understand this then there is no point doing millions of japa of mantras cause that will not help much. I am not authority in Tantra nor do I claim to be one, but this knowledge has been compiled to help everyone. I would much rather suggest a Hindu to practise Vedanta then Tantra. I have my reasons of choosing this path but the ramifications and repercussions of making a mistake in Tantra will bite you harder then it does in Vedanta. I chose not do Vedanta since a lot of the knowledge of this path has been lost, however even then mantras like the Durga Sukta still are extremely powerful. Guest guest
Thank you KP for that excellant summary. This would be a great boon to all, coming from a knowledgeable tantrik like yourself. I eagerly await the remaining portions. yogaman , "kalika Putra" <dakinic_monk> wrote: > > Prologue > > Tantra is perceived into three major groups satvic, tamas and rajas.
