Guest guest
Dear Mr Krishnamoorthy, I would presume by your knowledge of the lalita shahasranama that you are a bhakta of Devi bala or a sri vidya practitioner (forgive me if my presumption is incorrect or if you take any offence to this). I am more so interested why people invoke devi in this form. I am aware of why so in terms or in context with the dasha mahavidyas since they are my ista devis. In particular to my knowledge Devi bala aka Shodasi is worshipped in occult rituals to captivate or control another. The sadhanas I know of her make the sadhaka appealing to the opposite gender, I really see no point to these sadhanas hence I would like to know more on the motives of shodasi bhaktas. She is the only goddess from the dasha Maha Vidyas that I fear due to her playful nature.
