Guest guest
Dear Nora, The temple I am referring to the South Indians call this form of Devi munda kanni or the decapitator. But this deity is more commonly known as Kali, this rule of blinding is mostly to do with those who do heinous crimes like adultery, murder things like that. This just shows that even Devi herself isn't all that forgiving and reminds us that as her role as mother she will punish and at times she will punish harshly so do not be deluded in the Idea that "I will commit a sin today, and pray to Devi tomorrow that way I will not go to hell". That doesn't work, you must try to be a better person never ever intentionally commit a sin and never ever repeat a mistake. You must become a better person strive for this and aspire to this. Acts of disgust, jealousy, lust, anger, fear, envy, hatred, greed, desire and insanity must always be under your control, never speak good about yourself but ill since there is agni located on your tongue when you talk and confess sin then the purging blow gets softened. "Let one be better known as lecherous then generous to society and the vice- versa to the Devi" this is the best way to go in life, men will look at you in disgust but Devi will embrace you even harder since your karma is now less. Man's potential transcends perfection, but when man reaches perfection man transcends this world hence he is no longer man aspire to come to this state of enigma.
