Devi's Revenge? or nature's delicate balacing act? ?

Thanks so much for bringing into focus such importantant issues as

female infanticide, dowry deaths, illegal abortions etc in india

etc...

 

these are real issues and we as shaktas cannot ignore the cruelty and

inhumane treatment of women specially in a country where shaktism is

one of the four wheels of Sanatana dharma, the chariot!

 

it is emmarassing BUT none the less true that these practices are

being carried out and they should be stopped !

 

india'S population haS exceeded the 1 billion mark ! (CHINA'S TOO)

 

not too long ago, an english economist by the name Thomas Malthus

MADE SOME GLOOMY PREDICTIONS...

 

hE SAID OPOULATION, IF UNCHECKED WOULD INCREASE IN GEOMETRIC

PROGRESSION AND food production WOULD increase in arithmetic

progression:

 

there are two checks to poopulation growth

 

1) positive checks - like natural calamities outbreak of epidemics,

earthquakes, floods, droughts, pestilence, wars, tornados, FAMINES.

hurricanes, etc... this results in higher death rates...

 

2) preventive checks like birth control, delaying the age of marriage

etc or limiting the size of families - would lower bith rates... of

course MORAL RESTRAINT!

 

 

but even Thomas malthus would tutn in his grave if he came to know

that female fetuses are killed even before they are born; women are

burned because of insufficient dowry and illegal abortions are

carried out!

 

women are manifestations of devi ! so they are 'prakriti' too ! any

injustice meted out to women is bound to incur the 'wrath; of devi!

we have all heard of the shkespearean phrase- hell hath no fury like

a woman scorned ! (something like that! )

 

there is no justification whatsoever for committing female genocide

whether in inia or china!

 

by the same token, eARTH OR BHOOMI DEVI is also mother nature! she is

patient, tolerant and understanding! but, we cannot place too

much 'burden' on her!

 

when the recent massive earthquakes in Gujarat occurred and so many

lives were lost, it was remarked, that Devi is 'angry' with the

people of gujarat and that is why such a massive tragedy occurred?

now, anyone with a scientific bent of mind knows that gujarat is in

the 'earthquake' zone and that is why it is prone to earthquakes!

 

the Line beween relion and science is very thin, indeed! lol!

 

nevertheless, reality is- india needs to do something about its

population growth! otherwise, 'nature' will step in and do

its 'delicate' balancing act...

 

we are by no means advocating female infanticide and artficial dowry

deaths!

 

but we are asking the males and the females to show 'moral'

restraint - limit the size of the families by contraception and in

general to be 'prudent'

 

There is also the new problem of 'aids' - which is spreading like

wild fire - more so in the state of madras (chennai) ....

recently, Bill GATES DONATED 1 MILLION DOLLARS to fight the 'aids'

epidemic in india !

 

now, at the rate at which aids is spreading in india , will it be a

wonder if 1/2 of india is wiped out in no time? can you then blame it

on mother nature or 'promiscuity' or what?

 

if we humans do not act responsibly, mother nature has to perform a

balacing act? don't call it revenge! don't call it anger! but it

is 'kali's destructive dance' - in kali's destruction lies

regeneration !

 

so let us not quivbblw with words and focus on the issues...
