Guest guest
first let me compliment the moderators for this lovely presentation of maa Kundalini ! i Love the group picture, the choice of colors and the ascension of 'kundalini' as depicted in the chakras! now, please allow me to prsent two verses from adi shankaracharaya's saundarya lahari on this divine energy called kundalini! THE INTERNAL WORSHIP OF SHAKTI, CONSISTING IN THE ASCENT OF THE KUNDALINI BY MEDITATION, THROUGH THE VARIOUS CHAKRAS TO THE SAHASRARA IS DESCRIBED HERE : Mahim muladhare kam api manipure hutavaham Sthitam svadhisthane hrdi marutam akasam upari; Mano'pi bhru-madhye sakalam api bhittva kula-patham Sahasrare padme saha rahasi patya viharase. Having penetrated the Prithvi ( Earth ) element situated in the Muladhara, the Jala (Water ) element in the Manipura, the Agni ( Fire ) element in the Svadhisthana, the Vayu ( Air ) element in the Heart or Anahata, the Akasa ( Sky ) element aobov the former in the Visuddhi, and Manas ( mind ) in the Agnya between the eye-brows, Thou, ascending through the Susumna or the Central Path, sportest with Thy Consort in the solitude of Sahasrara the Thousand-Petalled Lotus ( above in the head ). 10. THE DESCENT OF THE KUNDALINI AFTER SAMADHI TO THE MULADHARA IS DESCRIBED IN THIS VERSE : SHLOK IN SANSKRIT Sudha-dhara-sarais carana-yugalantar vigalitaih Prapancam sincanti punar api ras'amnaya-mahasah; Avapya svam bhumim bhujaga-nibham adhyusta-valayam Svam atmanam krtva svapisi kulakunde kuharini. Drenching the whole manifested multiplicity ( The prapanca, here meaning the seventy two thousand Nadis ( NERVES ) of the Jiva ) with the nectar flowing from Thy feet, Thou ( the Kundalini representing Tripurasundari ) descendest from the exuberance of the Nectarine Radiance of the Moon ( here the Sahasrara where the Kundalini unites with Shiva ) into the hollow of Thy own sphere in the Muladhara at the lower end of the Susumna, assuming Thy serpentine form ( of three and a half coils ) and sleepest therein. ********************************************************************** salutions to the divine mother, the kundalini shakti !
