Guest guest
Thanks for providing this article. You could say I am half bemused and half disgusted. :-/ I have a question: As we all know, within our Vedantic/Hindu faith the more we sadhakas learn about the dreadful power of maya, the lower we will bow our heads to DEVI because She is the one who wields it! Now, suppose that there is a pious Christian (or Muslim, or even Buddhist) who follows the moral laws of his own faith and generally lives life in a non-harmful manner. However, he has been "brainwashed" by various stereotypical Western misrepresentations of the Hindu gods. For example, he believes that Kali is indeed the evil attempt of the Devil/Satan at drawing away people who would otherwise have followed the "true" path of Christianity. Thus, out of a sincere concern for the spiritual welfare of other non-Christians, he never wastes any opportunity to parrot those fallacious views of Kali which he has inherited; never for once realizing the actual meaning of what She stands for. And, yet at the same time he bows to Mother Mary and repeats her rosary! Does this person seriously jeopardize his own chances at salvation? When his earthly time is up, will Mother Kali once again nonchalantly flick him off her foot into the dreaded Sea of Samsara? What are your views?
