Guest guest
Dear all, I am new to this group. I must confess that I am in no way qualified to have any discussion with you learned members. I write this to ask for advice on sadhana. I do my regular prayer in the morning which includes Lalitha Sahasranama Namavali with prasad. I have never read any scriptures nor familiar with Devangiri scriptures. Is there any adivce for someone like me as to do's and don't in prayer. I would very much like to get some progress in spiritual path - because I have belief and enough time at my disposal. Can anyone help me to get web site address on Sri-Vidya. I look forward to hearing from you. raji. _______________ Add photos to your messages with MSN 8. Guest guest
Greetings Raji Welcome to the group and thank you for sharing it with us. "I must confess that I am in no way qualified to have any discussion with you learned members. I write this to ask for advice on sadhana." There is no academic or qualification requirements for anyone to post any message here. Please do not get overwhelmed with the current discussions taking place right now. We have Sadhak from various path and level. Some are beginners whilst others are advance. As for me, even though I do not participate in the discussion, I still read them. If I don't understand, I ask questions. As our moderator Sankara Menon remarked : if you do not ask, how can you learn? "I write this to ask for advice on sadhana." You have done the right thing. This is what the whole forum is all about. For Sadhaks like us to come together and share. Besides the link given by Adi_Shakti16, Sankara Menon is another person that you could talk to. Post the question out here so that we all too can learn together, or email him privately. You could visit our site, as in introduction to Sri Vidya . Another group that you may find helpful is the Ambal group, of which I am also a member. / http://www.shaktisadhana.org/shaktatantra.html Om ParaShaktiye Namaha
Guest guest
OM Rajeshwari Iyer You are already off to a good start in sadhana by starting your day with prayer. You asked about the 'do's and don't's in prayer': as long as you pray with devotion and faith, without a selfish motive, and consider your prayers as a means of attuning yourself to Brahman or your personal deity,I think there are no do's and don't's in prayer. The only other essential is to remember that you already that which you seek. You are the divinity which you seek. Keep this concept in your mind and heart always and especially in times of adversity or trial. You are already on a spiritual path but that path leads back to your own heart. The spiritual path is simply the continual removal of veils of not-knowing who we really are. Scripture can be part of that, the life stories of saints and sages can be part of that, a Guru can be part of that, prayer and meditation can be part of that, chanting and Satsanga can be part of that. But all these are intended to deprogram your mind from the restricted vision that your ego and senses impose upon it.In the end you will simply recognize your own divinity and that your own divinity is also the divinity that is in others and that flows through the unverse and sustains the universe. You will become a drop in the ocean of Brahman.
