Guest guest
Vanakkam Sujatha I am glad that you like the pictures. The Nageshwari temple pics was taken in Bricksfield, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is about 5 mins car ride from where I am staying right now. It is my dream that perhaps one fine day for me to visit India again and visit various other Amman temple, especially the Mariamman, AdiParashakti, Nageshwari temple etc. But should anyone decided to visit Malaysia, KL, just email me and I will be very very happy to bring you around. You would love the Shivan temple which is located at the highest peak in KL overlooking the town ( typical of Shiva, he chooses the best place for himself: the mountain/hills. LOL.) There too you will find Ambika and Nageshwari Devi. Well who knows maybe one day, MAA will dominate and becoming popular amongst the Shaktas like the Meenachi Amman temple in India. LOL. Shhhhhhhhh! Don't let the Shaivites hear this. We are safe today as they are deep into their vichara. [ smiles ] Om ParaShaktiye Namaha
Guest guest
Greetings Sujatha & Nora! Well, we lazy Shaivites are back, hahaha... This Sunday was a blessed day indeed. Everything went so right. I even returned home surprised to find that the lady of the house had actually done my laundry for me, and even bought a special dinner. And I even got free extra servings on my lunch from a lady waitress too. Proof perhaps that Lord Shiva, not MA, was the boss this Sunday. LOL Hey Nora, I have a question regarding the Sri Kali Adipuram pictures. In #24, those porcelain statues standing outside that tree shrine look an awful lot like the Chinese gods FU, LU & SHOU (Wealth, Promotion & Longevity). Those are them, right? What are they doing there in a Kali temple? My imagination is thinking that perhaps those positions at the side of the Kali murti were actually meant to be occupied by little statues of Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva, but somehow, some vaishnavite/shaivite sympathizers could not bear the thought of their Lords having to occupy those subordinate spots to Kali, so they subsituted with the Chinese statues instead! Care to enlighten? Om Namo Bhagavate Sri Ramanaya
Guest guest
Welcome back Well, we lazy Shaivites are back, hahaha... Oh! No now they are going to do the Tandava dance for us !! LOL Really!!!!! Well you see, to the Shaktas the lady of the house, the lady waitress are indeed the manifestation of MAA herself. We say, okay! Let these Shaivites have their day, after all as they say its FATHER'S DAY. Lets spoilt them today, no harm done. I do that too many times to my beloved Shaivite here at home. I smile when you remarked : try and sneak around DEVI's terrible maya and reach Freedom/Father Shiva. Why sneak when you can come to DEVI's comfort. SHE will nourish and pamper you for awhile, then gently lead you to FATHER SHIVA. LOL. "those porcelain statues standing outside that tree shrine look an awful lot like the Chinese gods FU, LU & SHOU (Wealth, Promotion & Longevity). Those are them, right? What are they doing there in a Kali temple? What sharp eyes you have !!!!!! Well those are the evidences of the religious harmony that have prevail in a multiracial, multireligious and multilingual Singapore especially amongst the Indians and the Chinese Community. Those porcelin statues are from the Chinese devotees. We see no harm in having them there. Over the other side you can find Goddess Kuan Yin ( Goddess of Mercy ) standing beside the War God. This is nothing unusual. When they perform the Pooja for Kali, we do it for all these Chinese Gods and Goddess. The same with the Chinese, when they come to pray to their gods and Goddess Kuan Yin, they say hello to Kali. So everybody is happy. This is what I called Harmony. "some vaishnavite/shaivite sympathizers could not bear the thought of their Lords having to occupy those subordinate spots to Kali" hmmmmmmm Lord Muneeswaran found a comfortable place there and HE seems happy about it. "Care to enlighten?" How do one enlighten the enlightened one?
