LOL Really, I must say, not without a tinge of guilt, that Shaktas are so much more active and caring towards Shaivites than the other way round. Poor Shaktas! Whatever have you done to deserve to have us lazy Shaivites around you. LOL > I smile when you remarked : try and sneak around DEVI's > terrible maya and reach Freedom/Father Shiva. Actually, I find Lord Shiva more accessible than DEVI. Ma is slightly forbidding and severe (in my world, at least). Will blab more on that next year. .... I think it is beautiful AND fitting that those Chinese statues coexist happily alongside the Hindu ones. Spiritually, you could say that the Chinese and Indian are closely linked. While Mother India is unrivalled for being the land which has produced the greatest number of enlightened saints and sages who have tasted Nirvana, China certainly comes a distant second thanks to her illustrious Buddhist connection. .... Here's wishing all friends (and lurkers) on Shakti Sadhana a Happy, Happy New Year! May all your Mayic dreams never come true, and may all your Nirvanic ones do!!! oops, hope that didn't sound too severe. But hey, it's good and proper Dharma you know.
