Guest guest
A forwarded message for action today. I hope everyone may at least spend one second to think of peace. In Love and Light, Ralf The Great Experiment "I was once asked why I don't participate in anti-war demonstrations. I said that I will never do that ... but as soon as you have a pro-peace rally, I'll be there." - Mother Teresa The Great Experiment starts around the world tomorrow on February 9 at noon New York time (9 AM Pacific, 5 PM London) when millions of people around the world will focus their prayers of peace, sending a wave of healing energy to the governments of both the US and Iraq. The title is "The Great Experiment III; Living and Praying Peace" as organized by James Twyman, author of "Emissaries of Light". This is the third time he has organized such an event. The first two were apparently successful efforts ... hundreds of thousands (possibly millions) of people focused their energies and prayed. The result was sudden de-escalation of hostilities. You can join millions of people who'll spend February 9th giving peace and compassion to everyone they meet. Let it be an active prayer you live all day long, enjoying your peaceful and compassionate actions and interactions with others. Go out of your way to bring smiles to others, and set the intention for the energy of this living prayer. It's that simple. Then, at the same time (depending on your time zone) on February 9, join together to focus our prayers of peace, sending healing light to dissolve all negative energies that could lead to war. Please join us by taking this time to join the others in focusing all of your thoughts on PEACE ... seeing in your mind's eye Iraqi soldiers putting down their weapons and embracing each other in love energy ... seeing George Bush, Cheney, Rumsfield and Powell, one at a time, shaking hands and embracing Saddam with love ... and visualizing the globe of Mother Earth as if we were high up in the heavens looking down and sending love energy from our heart chakra beaming rays of Christ-like light all over the globe .... knowing and feeling with great emotion that PEACE is here. the Center of Light & Serenity Web: www.centeroflight.net

Very different than that of the Viet Nam war rallies of the 60's that I also participated in. (showing my age). There is a massive grassroots effort against the war going on here presently but as more and more of our media is controlled by mega-corporations it goes virtually unreported. I live in the San Francisco 'Bay Area' a virtual cultural melting pot. The beauty of the peace rallies is in the cultural diversity. Many of theses people have been affected by past wars within their lifetimes and truly know the devasting reality. I sometimes get a bit frustrated with 'spiritual people' who are against the war but feel it is 'unspiritual' to participate in protest. Personally I meditale everyday and 'pray for peace' but when the time comes I will go to the streets in the hope of making my voice heard. I have not seen a 'desculation'. I sadly feel there is a determination on the part of the U.S. that we must have a war even if we 'do it alone'. In 1970 I went 'overland' to India through Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan. I lived there for many years and still return for annual 'yatra'. The world has changed in my lifetime and most of these coutries are now very dangerous for most people. India is one of the few places that is still relatively safe but not near as it was 32 years ago. The world has become a place where in liue of dialogue we react 'tit for tat'. This is no way for people to live. I realise this is a bit off subject but i have seen this quote by Mother Thersa so many times recently. I feel she was a great person but also feel this quote is being used as a disservice to many who are actively protesting the War. I think in this case she may have 'showed up'. So pray for peace but at the same time let your voice be heard by 'other means' also. f
